2025-12-29“Run for Farmers” Thirty students of Bhilai Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Sector-9 actively participated in the “Run for Farmers” Polo Marathon, organized by the Dhavala Foundation. The event was successfully conducted at Jayanti Stadium. On this occasion, the Principal, Mrs. Pratibha Chhaya Claudius, extended her heartfelt best wishes and encouragement to all the participating students. The successful participation of the students was made possible due to the commendable efforts and guidance of the college Sports Officer, along with the valuable support of NSS Officer Dr. Anupama Shrivastava and Dr. Nidhi Monika Sharma. Their dedicated contribution played a significant role in making the programme meaningful and successful.

2025-12-29A Skit and Debate Competition was held at Bilaspur under Yuva Mahotsav 2025–26, organized through the Chhattisgarh Government with the objective of encouraging youth participation, creativity, and expression of social awareness. Students from our institution actively participated in both Skit and Debate competitions and showcased commendable talent and confidence. The students who participated in the Skit Competition were Taniya Mishra, Meetali, Megha, Harsha, Jagriti, Pragati, Meenali, Sujata, and Nitika. Their skit was well-appreciated by the judges and audience for its impactful message, coordination, and performance. In the Debate Competition, Taniya Mishra represented our institution with confidence and clarity of thought. We are proud to announce that our students secured the 3rd Prize in the Skit Competition, bringing honor and recognition to the institution. The participation and achievement of the students reflect their hard work, teamwork, and dedication. Such events play a vital role in enhancing communication skills, creativity, and overall personality development of students.

2025-12-24A plantation drive was conducted at Bhilai Mahila Mahavidyalaya by the non-teaching staff, in the presence of the Principal Mrs. Pratibha Chhaya Claudius, Vice Principal Dr. Asha Rani Das, and members of the Eco Club and Beautification Cell. The initiative highlighted the importance of environmental conservation and a green campus.

Dr. Sarita Nitin Joshi, Assistant Professor, Home Science presented a paper on the topic "Views of youth on sustainable fashion".

Patel , Professor, Govt Digvijay PG college, Rajnandgaon. The lecture on "Career in Physics after PG" was delivered by the guest. The special guest for the program was Dr Meeta Gupta, Govt Dr WW patankar pg college, Durg.

They participated and contributed for the afternoon lunch service at the institution, which serves old people who are abandoned/homeless or suffer from some form of mental disability.

Welcome to Bhilai Mahila Mahavidhyalaya
The compulsion imposed on the parents to send their daughters outside Bhilai for better higher education in the absence of good women’s institutions initiated the intellectuals, educationists, industrialists and politicians of Bhilai in laying the foundation of this well-known institution namely Bhilai Mahila Mahavidyalaya in 1979. Over the span of almost 35 years, the college has grown to meet the challenges of time with courses in diversified fields, along with various career-oriented programmes being incorporated from time to time as per the need of the day to give the girl students not only better education but also employment opportunities, right here in their own home town.
The institution has paved a name for itself not only in academics as seen in every year’s university merit list but also in its achievements in various curricular and co-curricular fields producing distinguished alumni in the sphere of art and culture as well. The students are given an opportunity to realize their creative potential and at the same time care is taken for academic growth through various activities. A brief record of the activities, achievements and progress attained in the academic session 2020-2021is being presented herewith, to support our motto of striving to shape our students into good citizens of India, as today’s BMMites are tomorrow’s Nation.

To be acknowledge as a pro-active institute which strives hard to fulfill the aspirations of students, help them in developing sound knowledge base, correct skills, attitudes and understanding, to enable them to sail confidently through complexities and challenges of life.
